All Eyes on Detroit Design
DETROIT — Fathers day weekend for so many means - “Eyes on Design”. Eyes will begin to sparkle on Friday June 19th as a “who’s who” of the most visionary international designers, creative’s, influencers and decision-makers in the automotive and product design world gather for “Eve of Eyes”.
This year the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI will play host as icons of design rub shoulders with today’s top designers and tomorrows visionaries as they share their thoughts, ideas and design preferences. Reconnect with old friends, spend time with colleagues, make new acquaintances while sharing your own view on Design, Innovation, Sustainability, Fashion and Music - just a few of the themes that will be presented at this years Eve of Eyes Designers Night.
This year may be particularly special to locals as Eve of Eyes turn its focus on Detroit Design. Join this international creative gathering for a charitable evening and experience Detroit Fashion, Cars, Music, 3D Visualization and Product Innovation in this unique setting. Absorb the atmosphere and see the value and importance Sustainable Design plays in our environment and on the development of future products.
Doors open at 6:00pm when the museum will come alive to the sounds of local Detroit DJ’s. Stroll 3 levels of entertainment, design, fashion, innovation, visualization and enjoy the festivities, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails as the music fills the air. Enjoy the networking with people from all design industries inspiring each other and stimulating new ideas. Take a moment to listen in on presentations from top designers, product introductions and observe the design competitions or a head-to-head sketch-off that make up part of the evening’s events.
The VIP Lounge will be available from 9:00pm as the hottest music in town revs up the VIP party and fun. VIP donators can sip cocktails, eat and dance, while having the opportunity to socialize among some of the world’s key influencers and biggest names in the automotive and design communities.
Car Enthusiasts arriving early at 4:00pm can wander the open air gathering of classic and exotic vehicles while savoring the offerings of Detroit breweries, grilled specialties and more. With this weekend’s life time achievement award going to Willie G Davidson of Harley Davidson, expect a turnout of Harley riders and fans.
Tickets are priced at $25.00 for students, $40.00 for the general public and $100.00 for VIP Lounge. Cash bars and refreshments are available through the night.
The Eve of Eyes Designers Night is the first of the Father’s Day weekend events hosted by EyesOn Design. All proceeds from the weekend benefit the
Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO) a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization with programs in ophthalmic research, support for the visually impaired and blind, and public and professional education.
